Retail Bike Technician

OVERVIEW

• Build and repair bicycles according to established procedures.
• Provide strong product recommendations to cyclists based on personal experience and industry research.
• Deliver passionate customer service and sell through engagement in the Bike Department.
• Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation.
• Demonstrate genuine interaction with customers, showing passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment to their sport.
• Promote company programs, including warranty sales, the loyalty program, private‑label credit cards, and seasonal promotions.
• Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
• Assist with the assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage for the Bike Department.
• Adhere to safety policies, loss prevention procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all company information.
• Support the team across the store with an all‑hands‑on‑deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

• Prior experience building, repairing, and selling bicycles.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15–35 lbs, occasionally up to 5 times per hour.
• Ability to work extended periods (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.

Targeted Pay Range: $18.50 – $25.50 per hour. The starting rate of pay may vary based on location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
