The Project Sales Representative serves as the organization’s front-line solution provider for commercial mechanical renovation, design-build projects, and new equipment sales. This role is responsible for identifying project opportunities, developing technical and financial proposals, and delivering value-driven solutions to commercial clients. The Project Sales Representative builds strong customer relationships, collaborates with internal teams, and manages the sales process from opportunity identification through contract award.
EssentialFunctions
- Business Development & Opportunity Identification
- · Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities for mechanical renovation, design-build, and
- · Prospect within assigned markets through networking, referrals, and relationship development.
- · Monitor market conditions and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities.
- Site Evaluation & Solution Development
- · Conduct site visits to assess customer needs, existing systems, and project requirements.
- · Develop conceptual project scopes, technical approaches, and solution strategies.
- · Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and operations teams to develop viable project solutions.
- Proposal Preparation & Presentation
- · Prepare project designs, cost estimates, and formal proposals with support from internal resources.
- · Present proposals and recommendations clearly and professionally to customers.
- · Address customer questions, objections, and scope clarifications during the proposal process.
- · Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract details in alignment with company objectives.
- · Close projects and secure executed agreements.
- · Build and maintain long-term relationships with property managers, facility directors, and business owners.
- Internal Coordination & Reporting
- · Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth handoff from sales to project execution.
- · Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline status, and forecasts within the CRM system.
- · Provide sales updates, forecasts, and performance reports to management as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical sales, or project management.
- Demonstrated success selling mechanical renovation, design-build, or equipment replacement projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and HVAC equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Strong understanding of commercial mechanical and HVAC systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented approach to managing opportunities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office applications, and sales reporting tools
