Bioassay Scientist - Entry Level

Location:

Gaithersburg, MD.

• Supporting cell-based bioassays and binding assays for biological characterization and testing of biopharmaceutical products
• Carrying out bioanalytical cell-based assay testing of recombinant protein therapeutics
• Assisting in the identification and evaluation of new technologies
• Making detailed observations, analyzing data, interpreting results, and exercising appropriate technical discretion in the design and execution of experiments
• Performing cell culture, maintaining cell lines, and performing routine lab equipment maintenance
• Presenting results at internal meetings

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Good time management, outstanding multi-tasking abilities, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Good documentation skills

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other related concentration with 0-2 years of relevant experience working with cell-based assays in an industry environment
• Prior experience with cell culture and in vitro assays, and their application in biological characterization for biologics
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The position is full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Gaithersburg, MD, are encouraged to apply.
