Job SummaryThe Lead HVAC Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. This role leads a team of technicians, provides mentorship, and ensures all projects are completed on time and in compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities- Lead, train, and supervise HVAC technicians in the field.
- Perform complex HVAC installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential and commercial clients.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues and provide solutions in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with clients and addressing their needs.
- Ensure that all work complies with local codes and regulations.
- Order and manage inventory of necessary parts and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Complete service reports, job documentation, and time tracking accurately.
- Assist in setting schedules and dispatching technicians for assignments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide on‑call support during after‑hours as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in HVAC preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- EPA Certification (Section 608) is required.
- Ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass drug screening.
