As a Boat Builder/Restorer you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional workmanship, ensuring every vessel meets the highest standards of safety, durability, and performance.

Salary: $32.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Trappe, MD

• Evaluate damaged gelcoat surfaces and determine the most effective repair and restoration approach
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers to ensure proper adhesion and a high-quality finish
• Mix, tint, and apply gelcoat materials with precision, accurately matching colors and textures to achieve seamless repairs
• Utilize specialized equipment, including sanders, polishers, buffers, and spray equipment, to restore and refine surface finishes
• Inspect completed repairs to ensure all work meets company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

• Demonstrated expertise in gelcoat and paint touch-ups, as well as fiberglass repair, with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Working knowledge of marine mechanical and electrical systems is highly desirable
• Proficient and safety-conscious in the use of hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and interact professionally with clients
