Job DescriptionGlia Cell is seeking a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position supporting a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems for a large government contract.
Key Requirements- Possess an active or rein‑statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. (This position requires in‑scope poly, within 7 years).
- U.S. Citizenship.
- 20+ years Software Engineering experience and a BS degree in Computer Science or related.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Works well independently as well as on a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Seeking a strong full‑stack software developer with functional UI experience but primarily focused on backend web services and servers.
- Experience with open‑source integrations would be great and any experience with open‑source tools is required - i.e. AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher, Tomcat, Spring, JMS and AWS.
- Strong communication skills are needed.
- Tech stack areas of experience/understanding would be:
- Critical: Java threading, Spring Boot, JavaScript, JMS, Mongo
DB, AWS, Amazon RDS, REST, Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic Search, Cockroach DB or other RDBMS at similar scale, COOP, Large scale distributed systems with high availability - Desired: Kibana, Alfresco, Content Management tools, Node, Svelt, React, and Angular, Confluence, Jira, Maven, Git
- Critical: Java threading, Spring Boot, JavaScript, JMS, Mongo
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland (Partial telework of 16 hours per week expected)
Note: Telework granted for this position does not become available until after the individual has been in the position for a period of time, has acclimated to tasking/duties, and has meaningful work that can be done remotely. Telework can also be removed at any time.
Salary Range$200,000 to $280,000. Sign‑on bonus eligible.
