Software Engineer, AI-Assisted Developer Tooling

You will work at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI, building capabilities that help developers move faster through smarter IDE experiences, better automation, and more effective engineering workflows.

This role gives you the chance to shape how software gets built, not only what gets built. You will design AI-assisted developer tooling, experiment with agentic and semi-autonomous systems, and integrate new capabilities into existing platforms and pipelines. • Design and implement AI-assisted IDE and developer tooling capabilities
• Integrate agent-based systems for repetitive developer tasks such as code reviews, unit test generation, and code quality analysis
• Experiment with autonomous and semi-autonomous agents to improve development workflows
• Integrate new tools into existing development platforms and pipelines
• Collaborate with customers and teammates to gather feedback and iterate quickly
• Measure and document the effectiveness of tooling improvements

• Clearance:
  Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
• Citizenship:
  Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
• 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
• Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in place of a Bachelor’s degree

• Strong software engineering skills in one or more modern programming languages
• Experience with IDEs, developer tools, or build and test systems
• Hands-on experience with AI or LLM-powered developer tools, including chat-based interfaces or automated coding agents
• Ability to prototype, evaluate, and refine experimental tooling
• Solid understanding of software development workflows and best practices

• Experience with automated code review or static analysis tools
• Knowledge of agentic AI frameworks or orchestration systems
• Experience working on developer platforms or internal engineering enablement teams
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices
• Experience developing VS Code extensions using Type Script or Electron

Compensation Range: $ - $

The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
