Base-2 Solutions is seeking a talented and adaptable Software Engineer to join our growing team. Our Software Engineers are vital to developing cutting-edge solutions that support national defense and critical mission objectives. We are looking for individuals with strong programming skills, a solid understanding of software development life cycles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, technical excellence, and the ability to solve complex problems while maintaining high coding standards and adhering to security requirements.

• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software applications and systems based on customer requirements.
• Participates in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Writes clean, efficient, and well-documented code in various programming languages.
• Conducts code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting to ensure software quality.
• Collaborates with system engineers, Dev Ops teams, and stakeholders to integrate software solutions into larger systems and platforms.
• Identifies opportunities to improve existing software systems and recommends enhancements or optimizations.
• Ensures adherence to security best practices and compliance standards (NIST, DoD, IC, RMF).
• Develops and maintains technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and system diagrams.
• Supports deployment, version control, and configuration management processes.
• Stays up-to-date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

• Strong programming skills in one or more of:
  Java, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Scala.
• Experience with software development frameworks such as Spring, Angular, React, Node.js, Bootstrap, .NET.
• Familiarity with IDEs and tools including Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio, VS Code, PyCharm, Net Beans.
• Experience with operating systems Linux, Unix, Windows, macOS.
• Knowledge of databases Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with version control systems Git, Git Hub, Git Lab, Bitbucket, SVN.
• Familiarity with build and automation tools Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Bamboo, Ant.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools and integration with Dev Ops practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform and familiarity with cloud-native development.
• Understanding of software development methodologies Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall.
• Experience with collaboration and issue tracking tools JIRA, Confluence, Service Now.
• Familiarity with security requirements and compliance frameworks NIST SP 800-53, DoD STIGs, RMF, ICD 503.
• Experience with scripting languages Bash, Power Shell, Python.

• Certifications such as AWS Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Developer, Security+, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
