Software Engineer (SWE) Skill Level 3 About CTRL+
CTRL+ is seeking a Software Engineer 3 with Machine Learning (ML) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) experience for our contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing robust software solutions that leverage ML and AI techniques to enhance cyber defense and cyber intelligence solutions.
This role requires a deep understanding of programming languages, as well as hands-on experience implementing ML/AI algorithms and frameworks. You will join a talented software team focused on developing innovative solutions for mission-critical systems and applications. Those interested in this position should be comfortable with change and eager to learn new technologies, as this opportunity is centered on finding innovative solutions to our customer's toughest challenges.
The team will also address challenges related to infrastructure provisioning and cloud migration within a hybrid, multi-cloud environment (e.g., VMware, AWS & Azure), Cyber Threat Intelligence, Dev Ops, and Containerization & Orchestration.

Key Responsibilities- Evaluate models for applicability to mission problems, including speed, accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Understand standard AI/ML data formats for models, weights, and data interchange.
- Apply industry-standard techniques for compressing and fine-tuning models to fit target platforms, including CPU-only implementations and edge devices.
- Optimize performance and efficiency of ML/AI models through continuous testing and refinement.
- Design and develop ML and AI algorithms and integrate them into systems to solve emerging mission-critical problems.
- Provide leadership and support for corporate AI efforts, including the AI Working Group, Innovation Center, and proposal activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct research and experiments to identify and evaluate the most suitable ML/AI techniques for specific use cases.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in ML/AI technologies and best practices; research new technologies and address emerging challenges through quick-reaction problem identification and resolution.
- Analyze, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java & Python-based solutions to address emerging mission challenges using industry best practices and frameworks.
- Document experiment results and prototype software solutions, ensuring all technical documentation (e.g., configuration guides, install guides) meet requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to jointly solve problems and deliver solutions.
- Work effectively within an Agile development environment.
- Software development on both low and high side to build innovative solutions in both environments.
- Work performed in both AWS and Azure environments.
- Work performed at contractor facility in {ADDRESS}.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics required; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in software engineering, modernization, or solution architecture.
- Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Must hold a current security clearance and polygraph
