Position Summary
The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies, Federal and State regulations, and to deliver freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world class customer service experience.
Duties & Responsibilities- Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
- Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
- Lifting heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload.
- Provide excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional attitude.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred.
- Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
- Display trust and integrity by doing the right thing.

- Remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
- Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
- Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed.
- Constantly move from unloading materials from a commercial motor vehicle onto the job site.
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle continuously.
- Position self to unload materials from a flatbed or boom.
- Judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating a boom.
- Communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Work continuously in an outside environment while making deliveries.
- Prioritize job sites and deadlines.
- Manage stress depending on customer’s deadline.
- Multi‑task effectively.
- Receive information and directions accurately.
- Quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
- Demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement.
