Position Summary:
The primary function is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies, Federal and State regulations, and deliver all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world-class customer service experience.
- Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
- Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
- Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs for loading/unloading.
- Provide excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional attitude.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL); minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred.
- Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

- Maintain a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
- Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs for loading/unloading and frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs while unloading flatbed.
- Operate commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle, judging distance while delivering materials.
- Communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Work constantly in the outside environment while making deliveries.
- Prioritize job sites and deadlines.
- Manage stress based on customer deadlines.
- Multitask effectively.
- Receive information and directions accurately.
- Communicate solutions promptly when problems occur.
- Demonstrate a high degree of sound judgment.
Base salary typically falls within the range of $27.07 to $34.42 per hour. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime, performance-based bonus programs, commissions, a car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
