Wytheville Community College is seeking an experienced Truck Driving Lead Instructor for the Truck Driving program. This position will be responsible for overall coordination, administration, and quality assurance of the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training program. Responsibilities include providing instruction; overseeing training operations across multiple training sites; coordinating instructor and student schedules; ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations; and maintaining program training equipment and records.
This is a restricted position. Continued employment from year to year is contingent upon the availability of grant or departmental funding.
Minimum Qualifications:- High School diploma or equivalent;
- Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA regulations, CDL Licensing requirements and state testing procedures;
- Experience coordinating training programs, scheduling personnel, or supervising operations;
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills;
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining regulatory compliance.
