- The licensed practical nurse performs those functions delegated and assigned by the registered professional nurse or licensed physician.
- The licensed practical nurse is responsible for administering nursing care, medications and assisting physicians with procedures and monitoring.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the endoscopy room procedures and equipment.
- Graduation from a school of nursing in practical nursing required.
- Current VA LPN license required.
- BLS required within 30 days of hire, or prior to completion of orientation if 30 days before hire.
- The Licensed Practical Nurse performs a variety of functions. They are responsible for administering nursing care, medications and assisting physicians with procedures and monitoring as designated by the supervising or ordering physician.
