Healthcare Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist
Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across a variety of clinical settings, supporting our mission to provide safe, effective, and compassionate services to the community. As an RN at TCRH, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Your daily responsibilities will include monitoring and interpreting vital signs, administering medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols, and providing evidence-based care for patients requiring emergency, surgical, and family medicine services. You will prepare patients and families for procedures, offer pre- and post-operative care, manage IV lines and infusions, perform wound care and dressing changes, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
Accurate, timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) is essential, as is adherence to all regulatory, safety, and infection prevention standards.
In alignment with TCRH’s focus on patient-centered care, you will play a key role in patient and family education, ensuring they understand diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. You will collaborate in discharge planning and care coordination, helping patients transition safely from the hospital to home or other care settings. As part of our supportive and inclusive culture, you will actively participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training designed to enhance clinical practice, patient safety, and overall patient experience.
TCRH offers a collaborative work environment where nurses are valued members of the care team and are encouraged to grow professionally. You will have opportunities to expand your skills through continuing education, cross-training in different units as appropriate, and participation in committees focused on clinical excellence and community well-being.
This position requires reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining empathy and respect for every patient and family we serve. The RN role is on-site within our hospital and related care areas, with schedules that may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet patient care needs.
