Staff Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and contribute to the month-end close process. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting, gain exposure to financial reporting, and grow within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed asset accounting
- Analyze account activity and variances, providing explanations to senior team members
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions, as needed
- Assist with audit requests by preparing schedules and gathering supporting documentation
- Maintain and follow internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the accounting function
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1-3+ years of accounting experience (internship or public accounting exposure is a plus)
- Basic understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Experience supporting month-end close activities preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data organization, formulas, basic analysis)
- Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
