About the Opportunity
Are you a strategic financial leader ready to drive organizational excellence? Our client, a highly respected professional services firm, is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking finance executive with a passion for innovation, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the firm's long-term goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning. - Financial Management:
Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance activities. Lead year-end close, manage tax planning and filings, and ensure accurate partner compensation. - Operational Efficiency:
Optimize financial systems and processes for accuracy and compliance. Maintain internal controls and lead audit activities. - Risk Management:
Implement and improve financial security protocols, manage insurance programs, and contribute to crisis planning and regulatory compliance. - Leadership & Development:
Provide strategic leadership and coaching to the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and ethical practice. - Relationship Management:
Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and insurance providers. Collaborate with firm leadership to align financial objectives and operational priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive financial management experience, ideally in a professional services environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software
- Proven ability to optimize financial information systems
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational focus, attention to detail, and adaptability
- Demonstrated professionalism, ethical judgment, and leadership in high-performance environments
