We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our team at the seaport terminal. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo from ships, operating equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.

• Join our team of dedicated professionals who take pride in their work.
• Load and unload cargo from ships using forklifts, cranes, and other equipment.
• Maintain warehouse sanitation by cleaning dock and room areas.
• Perform general warehouse housekeeping and sanitation duties, including ice removal, sweeping, scrubbing, and organizing.
• Assist with desalting or slating of product.
• Control and organize pallet inventory.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out simple instructions from oral instructions or written correspondence.
• Must be able to work in a cold/hot environment.
• Detail‑oriented and accurate.
• Ability to work overtime during the week and on weekends.
• Able to become forklift certified.
• Possess or Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Maintain sanitation and housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Understand both general oral and written communications. Knowledge of Spanish, both oral and written, is a plus.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The work environment involves hazards, risks, or discomforts typical of working around machinery with exposed moving parts, arrant chemicals, heavy equipment, extreme heights, or abusive or hostile clientele and patients. Exposure to disagreeable weather conditions and extreme levels of temperature, ventilation, lighting, and sound is normal.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
