As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Part Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Monday 01:00 PM – 09:00 PM;
Saturday 05:00 AM – 01:00 PM

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific procedures and appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information through proper communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify entry authorizations for people, vehicles, and/or deliveries in accordance with site policies and post instructions.
• Support incident response by assisting with evacuations, severe weather procedures, and/or other critical events while maintaining detailed activity and incident records.

• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
