Supervising Cardiologist Physician – Non-Invasive, Galesburg, IL
OSF Health Care invites a mission‑driven Non Invasive Cardiologist to step into a clinical leadership role that shapes the future of cardiovascular care in the Galesburg region. You will serve as both a practicing cardiologist and the Supervising Clinician for the cardiovascular service line, ensuring alignment with OSF’s strategic objectives while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Practice- Provide high‑quality, patient‑centered noninvasive cardiology care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, evidence‑based treatment.
- Support standardization of clinical workflows and best practices across the service line.
- Lead and mentor physicians and APPs within the assigned clinical environment.
- Communicate and execute operational tactics that support OSF’s strategic goals.
- Champion OSF Leader Competencies and model mission‑driven leadership.
- Drive change initiatives and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with OSF policies, regulatory standards, and quality benchmarks.
- 4 hours per week of protected administrative time (0.1 FTE).
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical practice experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with clinical teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
- Licenses/Certifications:
Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state. Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). - Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
- Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
- Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
- Experience leading clinical teams or operational initiatives.
