Job Overview

Pay Range $28-$32/hr. (DOE) + Bi‑Weekly Install Bonuses.
Location
:
Illinois (no remote). This position is for a Crew Lead in Residential Solar.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the entire installation project.
  • Supervise safety on the job.
  • Complete installation on various roof types and ground mounts.
  • Supervise quality and efficiency of work performed on site.
  • Communicate with Roof Lead and Branch Manager on any changes needed.
  • Mount racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
  • Thoroughly complete job documents.
  • Collect data and photos for each job.
  • Encourage the rooftop team to work as a team to improve productivity.
  • Drive company vehicle to and from jobs safely.
  • Maintain truck tools and material inventory.
  • Supervise fixing and troubleshooting projects.
  • Cleanup job site.
  • Perform required travel during extended periods.
  • Maintain current driver’s license and clean driving record to operate company vehicle.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education & Certifications
  • High School Graduate or GED.
Experience
  • Minimum 1+ year experience, including at least 6 months leading a crew.
  • Electrical and roof racking experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Good motivation with an attention to productivity, detail, and safety.
  • Work safely with heights on ladders and in confined areas.
  • Lift, pull, and push materials and equipment.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and stay on feet for long periods.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
  • Work in extreme environments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Lift 50+ pounds.
Travel Requirements

Employee required to travel for business purposes, not including commute. Must have valid driver’s license and insurance and ability to drive personal vehicle to different sites.
