We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Paver Operator to join our construction team. In this role, you will operate and maintain paving machinery used to lay asphalt on roads, parking lots, and other surfaces. You will work closely with the paving crew to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain asphalt pavers and other related equipment according to safety standards and operational guidelines.
  • Set up machines and monitor paving processes, making necessary adjustments to achieve the desired surface quality and thickness.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, laborers, and other equipment operators to coordinate project requirements.
  • Inspect machines before and after use to ensure proper working conditions and perform basic maintenance or report issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work site, adhering to all company and regulatory safety protocols.
  • Record and report information relevant to the project, such as machine hours, materials used, and site conditions.
  • Follow project blueprints, plans, and company procedures to ensure accuracy and quality.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating paving equipment or in a similar construction environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Basic mechanical skills with the ability to conduct routine machine inspections and maintenance.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials as needed.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required by project schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Completion of safety or equipment operation certification programs.
  • Experience with GPS or automated paving controls.
  • Previous work on road construction projects.
