Job SummaryThis position provides a variety of staff support duties to sustain the effective operations of the Adult Education Program. The position also interacts with and provides instructional and registration/intake-related services and support for potential and current students and faculty on a daily basis.
Job Duties- Assists with student counseling, orientation and assessments (TABE, CASAS, etc.) at designated locations.
- Assists with scheduling, proctoring, and scoring state‑required tests and recommends student placement.
- Organizes and maintains program and student files as directed as well as report documentation for the program.
- Assists with the preparation of state and local reports – providing necessary information.
- Provides customer service through telephone coverage, responses to inquiries, and reception of walk‑in students, faculty, and guests.
- Assists in the recruiting of new students by distributing flyers at local businesses and attending local events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED/HiSET.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in an adult education environment.
- Experience in the proctoring and scoring of assessments and communication with students and faculty regarding results.
- Experience in the support or delivery of presentations for informational purposes.
- Microsoft office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Evidence of interpersonal skills and maturity.
- Organizational and analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Skill in operating general office equipment.
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
