Adjunct Instructor – Physical Therapist Assistant (Pool)

Job SummaryThis position is responsible for delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies.
Job Duties- Teach courses via on‑ground, online, hybrid or web‑enhanced modalities as assigned.
- Teach evening, weekend, off‑campus, dual enrollment and distance‑based courses as required.
- Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract.
- Regularly check VSCC email and departmental mailbox; respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend.
- Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
- Complete required college trainings.
- Complete required reports such as attendance, early alerts, progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys by required deadlines.
- Advise the Department Chair at the earliest possibility if unable to teach a class.
- Attend meetings as requested by the Department Chair and/or Dean.
- Comply with all of the College's and T 's policies and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
- Graduate of an accredited healthcare or allied health program.
- Current, unrestricted licensure in a healthcare profession (e.g., Physical Therapist Assistant, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Athletic Trainer, Physician Assistant, or another related licensed healthcare profession), or equivalent academic preparation in a physical or health science‑related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of physical science principles relevant to instruction in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Collegiate level teaching experience.
- Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
$675 – $800 per credit hour
