PreK Lead Teacher

About This Role

We are in need of a lead teacher for our PreK-1 class. The teacher will help prepare students for Kindergarten by creating and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans. She will need to supervise children while also leading small groups and learning activities with the help of their assistant teacher.

• Create and implement lesson plans
• Stay on the classroom schedule
• Communicate with parents
• Keep classroom clean and organized
• Engage with children at all times
• Create a safe and healthy learning environment.

• Able to work Monday-Friday on an alternating schedule of an eight hour shift between 6:30-5:30
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Pass a background check
• Pass a drug test
• A heart for teaching and making a difference in children s lives.
• Flexible.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

• Have or working towards a CDA or above
• Familiarity with Pro Care
• An understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
