Job Summary:

This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in multiple instructional delivery formats and participating inevaluation of student learning and assessment of course and program outcomes. Faculty will participate in service activities to support the College's mission.

Job Duties:

Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, faculty are generallyexpected to teach 15 semester credit hours and hold additionalin-person and virtual office hours as defined in College policy.

Faculty will teach a total 28-32 semester credit hours across Falland Spring semesters. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required. Provide appropriate and effective instruction. Create and contribute to asupportive learning environment for students within and beyond the classroom. Actively participate in development, evaluation, andreview of program and curriculum, including assisting with orleading affiliation and accreditation efforts as applicable. Attendto administrative duties, including completion of required Collegetrainings and timely submission of attendance reporting, progressreports, grades, survey responses and other required information.

Contribute to College service, including Student-Focused Service and Mentorship (advising, career services, student organizationsponsorship, etc.) and committee, taskforce, and project work atthe College, division, and department level. Support student recruitment and retention efforts as appropriate. Engage in regularprofessional development around pedagogy and maintain up-to-datesubject-matter expertise; support a culture of lifelong learning.

Comply with all College and T  policies and guidelines. Provide leadership for the program and ensure compliance with the educational requirements for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) post primary certification in Computed Tomography. Conduct advisory committee meetings. Coordinateclinical education for all clinical affiliates. Assign studentclinical rotations to ensure adequate clinical experiences. Visiteach clinical site regularly and work with clinical instructors to evaluate and monitor student competence.

Evaluate the effectiveness of the clinical education component of the program. Coordinate with clinical affiliates to ensure appropriate student pre-clinical documentation is received. Schedule and conduct regular clinical instructor meetings to present updated program information andgather input from clinical instructors to make clinicalmodifications. Prepare lesson plans, course syllabi, calendars, andcourse outlines for assigned didactic and clinical courses. Ensure accuracy of student clinical records, attendance, evaluations, andgrades.

Enforce program and college policies fairly and promptly.

Provide regular counseling and advising for students, based ontheir clinical performance and progress. Maintain overall programeffectiveness including curriculum development and evaluation.

Participate in clinical site recruitment for the program as needed.

Strive to be a positive representative of the program. Demonstrate the ability and desire to work collaboratively with faculty andstaff to enhance student learning and program success. Other dutiesas assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution with aminimum of two years of clinical experience in diagnostic Computed Tomography.
  • Currently certified and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (ARRT(N)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with aminimum of two years of clinical experience in diagnostic Computed Tomography.
  • Collegiate-level teaching experience.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Positron Emission Tomography (PET) experience.
