Qualifications:

• Current Tennessee 461 Certification is required
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in moderate to severe classrooms
• Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and implementing specialized instructional strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and advocating for student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ unique learning requirements
• Deliver instruction and support within a comprehensive development classroom
• Monitor and document student progress, modifying approaches as needed to ensure academic and developmental growth
• Collaborate with related service providers, general education teachers, and administrators
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide progress updates and support
• Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment conducive to growth for every learner
