The Assembly Manufacturing Engineer develops, documents, and improves production assembly processes to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. In this role you will provide day-to-day engineering support to assembly operations, lead process improvements, and drive robust work instructions, tooling/fixture readiness, and problem resolution through data-driven, immediate, well-founded actions.

The successful candidate will have a high degree of business acumen and will be market savvy. They should have well-developed interpersonal skills as well as show a keen interest and knowledge of manufacturing managements processes. Due to the close working relationship within the company, it is important that this individual has excellent organizational skills, be self-motivated, and be able to effectively interface at a variety of levels.

It is also essential that the individual has strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to lead and motivate others while managing multiple projects.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manual and semi-automated assembly methods, utilizing knowledge of assembly sequencing, standard work, ergonomic principles, tooling and fixture design, and production equipment capabilities. This activity covers a variety of product assembly, inspection, and functional test processes.
  • Develop and maintain safe, capable, and repeatable assembly processes with the utmost integrity and adherence to Quality policy and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain clear assembly work instructions, standard work, visual aids, and training materials to support consistent execution on the line.
  • Support production schedules by ensuring assembly line readiness (people/process/equipment), driving productivity and quality initiatives, and managing assigned projects within budget and timing constraints.
