Lexington, KY; and Naugatuck, CT.

Assists the press operators by performing quality checks, 5S activities, and material handling duties.

• Loading steel on payoff wheel
• Staging steel
• Dumping scrap hoppers
• Printing labels
• Uses a variety of gauges to ensure quality
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times
• Label, scan, and move product per specifications
• Enters data into Measurlink
• Follows all rules, regulations, and work processes set forth by the company
• 5S Responsibilities
• Holds self-accountable to create and maintain a safe working environment
• Competently performs all tasks with a focus on safety within a fast-paced environment
• Contributes to team effort by focusing on continuous improvement and success for the entire team
• From time to time, may be assigned other duties for training, assistance, or other reasons as needed by management

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating a forklift
• Basic computer knowledge
• Great organizational and time‑management abilities
• Attention to detail
• Effectively communicates in a professional demeanor when dealing with the public or any level of employees
• Ability to safely work in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently
• Ability to work overtime

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, talk, or hear, and smell; frequently required to reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to sit, stoop, or crouch
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration; frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles; potential exposure to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock; noise level usually loud
