At Highpoint Health Sumner, you will be a registered nurse on the Post Surgical/Ortho unit, providing exceptional post‑surgical care to adult and adolescent patients following a variety of procedures.

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive post‑surgical care for general surgery, orthopedic procedures, and colectomies.
• Perform round‑ups and patient assessments, monitoring for changes and ensuring stability.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring smooth and efficient recovery.
• Respond rapidly to emergencies, utilizing advanced skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate, timely record‑keeping and documentation.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

Applicants must have:

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) – current upon hire.
• ACLS certification from the AHA or ARC – required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS certification – required within 6 months of hire.
• Current Tennessee or multi‑state RN license and an associate’s, bachelor’s, or RN diploma in nursing.
