Registered Nurse (RN) - Level 3 Trauma Emergency Room
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in our 24 bed, Level 3 Trauma Emergency Room, ranked #2 in Lifepoint Health. As an RN in our ER, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of traumatic injuries and medical emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Care:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other medical emergencies. - Assessment and Triage:
Quickly and accurately assess patient conditions, prioritize care based on severity, and initiate appropriate interventions. - Collaboration:
Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. - Trauma Management:
Administer life‑saving treatments and interventions for trauma patients, including wound care, medication administration, and emergency resuscitation. - Communication:
Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and positive patient outcomes. - Documentation:
Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. - Education and Support:
Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. - Compliance:
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment for all patients and staff.
Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi‑State Registered Nurse licensureand possess an associate or bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.
Required Certifications- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire
- ACLS & PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 6 months of employment, if not current upon hire.
- TNCC - Preferred
- 1 year of Emergency Services nursing, AEMT, Paramedic or Military experience - preferred
