Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location:
Gallatin, TN
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
Shift: 19:00 - 07:00
Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical unit, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality medical care, ensuring patient safety and comfort while facilitating recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education and information to patients and their families about treatments and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the electronic health record system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current RN license in Tennessee.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical setting preferred.
- Ability to float to other Med Surg units as needed.
