Area Sales Manager

This position is accountable for the activities of an assigned number of Account Sales Representatives in a specific geographic territory to ensure their efforts produce maximum sales and distribution and provide quality service to all customers in the assigned territory.

The Area Sales Manager is expected to provide the training and supervision necessary for each Account Sales Representative to be successful and meet the standards established in the Structured Sales Processes. The Area Sales Manager also is expected to effectively implement Company programs and policies in a manner that will result in the achievement of sales volume and merchandising goals while effectively presenting the Company’s brands to the retailer and the consumer.

Market Knowledge Product Sales/Results Brand Knowledge Relationships with Customers Program and Policy Execution Communication Skills (written and verbal)
Development of Team Members Follow-up and Follow-through

Evaluation of Team Members Quality Assurance Strong computer skills, with the ability to work competently in Word, Outlook, and Excel Qualified candidates will have deep knowledge of the beer industry, especially its competitive opportunities and threats. Sales management; people management and development experience is desired.
