Finished Dozer OperatorThis role is located in Gallatin, TN and is part of the Northern Middle Construction team. The position focuses on utilizing dozers and other heavy equipment for finish grading and fine grading on base stone and heavy civil grading projects.

- Wages:
Starting at $24.00 per hour. Higher compensation based on grading and equipment experience.
- 3-5 years of experience operating a mid to large-size dozer
- Operate a dozer and other heavy or grading equipment to complete grading and fine grading tasks
- Self-motivated; perform required duties independently, without constant supervision
- Must be Drug-Free and pass a pre-employment drug screen, possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- Operate equipment with high competency, skill, and proficiency in challenging terrain
- Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
- Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with documentation in compliance with company policies
- Communicate effectively
- Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA/Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence
- Minimum 3-5 years of finish and fine grading experience operating a CAT D6, CAT D8, or similar mid to large-size dozer
- Ability to use GPS for grading applications – preferred
- Prior experience operating other heavy construction equipment preferred
- Experience operating a motor grader is a plus
- Distinguish and understand signals
- Read and understand grade stakes
- Use both hands and feet simultaneously
- Work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection
- Hear and understand commands from supervisors, warnings from coworkers, and alarms on equipment
- Use mechanic’s hand tools and tape measure
- Crawl and climb on, over, under and inside construction equipment
- Lift and carry objects up to 100 pounds
- Good vision, both close-up and long-distance, and ability to look forward, side to side, and toward the rear of equipment
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate loud noises
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Provide valid documentation for the I-9 immigration requirement
