SummaryThe Training Coordinator is responsible for training all staff on the services provided within the Community Services Division, which includes Community Service Block Grant (CSBG), Weatherization (WAP), Food Distributions (TEFAP), and Utility Assistance (LIHEAP). The Trainer will serve as the content area expert, implementing training on policies and procedures for these programs. Training will be provided in-person and virtually to staff across seven counties, occurring at hire, semi-monthly, and annually.
This role will also involve providing individual training and technical assistance to staff as needed, and leading Case Management meetings. The CSD Trainer will spend approximately 75% of their time in training and coaching activities.
- Training Creation and Implementation:
- Develop and deliver training for staff on all services within the Community Services Division.
- Technical Assistance &
Coaching:- Provide ongoing technical assistance to staff, addressing any programmatic concerns or questions.
- Offer coaching to help staff meet program objectives and improve performance.
- Case Management Consultation:
- Lead Case Management meetings and provide consultation to support staff in case management best practices.
- Staff Monitoring & Support:
- Assist and monitor staff toward the successful completion of program objectives and initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to program requirements and policies.
- Program Activity Planning:
- Plan activities in accordance with program initiatives and contractual obligations.
- Program Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor program components and ensure compliance with funder and MCCAA policies.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Quality Assurance
Activities:- Perform quality assurance tasks as assigned to ensure program success and compliance.
- Outreach Participation:
- Participate in outreach efforts as needed to promote services and educate the community.
- Education:
- Associate's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in human services, preferably in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
- Preferred knowledge of CAA Community Services programs.
Management retains the right to waive education or experience requirements based on the evaluation of or demonstrated competence by the incumbent. A combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered for the position.
