Class A Operator
The Class A Operator is responsible for operating vehicles and equipment requiring a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), ensuring safe and efficient delivery of goods or materials. This role involves adhering to safety standards, maintaining vehicle integrity, and supporting operational logistics.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Class A vehicles in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ensure safe and timely transport of materials, products, or waste.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and reports as required by law and company policy.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, making adjustments as necessary.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and other operators.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism.
- Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and environmental policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks.
- Minimum [X] years of driving experience with Class A vehicles (insert appropriate number).
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to conduct vehicle checks.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
