The Roll-Off Dumpster Truck Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Gallatin, TN. This position is responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks to deliver, place, pick up, and transport dumpsters to and from customer sites across the service area. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles and equipment, securing and covering loads, following designated routes and schedules, and communicating clearly with dispatch and customers.
The driver will ensure dumpsters are placed accurately and safely, protect customer property, and maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck and work areas. The role also involves basic paperwork or digital documentation, adherence to DOT and company safety standards, and providing courteous, respectful service to every customer.
Must have
- a clean driving record and experience operating roll-off or similar commercial trucks.
- must be able to pass a DOT Physical.
- Strong safety awareness, including knowledge of DOT regulations, load securement, and safe backing, maneuvering, and lifting practices.
- Ability to read and follow routes, schedules, and work orders, and to use GPS or dispatch systems effectively.
- Customer service skills, including professional communication, problem-solving, and respect for customer property and time.
- Physical ability to climb in and out of trucks, operate controls, handle tarps and equipment, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliability and time management skills, with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and follow company procedures.
- Basic documentation skills for completing logs, inspections, and service records accurately and legibly.
- Previous experience in waste management, construction hauling, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial; willingness to participate in ongoing training and certification as needed.
