Progressive Roofing seeks a Safety Coordinator to support our construction Safety department across commercial roofing projects. This role develops and enforces jobsite safety plans, conducts inspections, and leads OSHA-compliant trainings to promote a safe, compliant work environment. You will investigate incidents, maintain safety documentation, and partner closely with field teams and supervisors to manage fall protection, equipment use, and hazard controls.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans for roofing projects
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits, documenting findings and corrective actions
  • Lead OSHA-compliant safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ongoing worker safety training
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and injuries, preparing detailed root-cause reports
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain safety records, permits, JSAs, and PPE documentation for all projects
  • Coach field crews and supervisors on safe work practices for roofing and fall protection
  • Coordinate safety orientations for new hires and subcontractors
  • Recommend and follow up on corrective actions to reduce risk and improve safety performance
  • Collaborate with project managers and foremen to plan safe workflow, access, and material handling
  • Construction safety management

Qualifications
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification strongly preferred
  • First Aid/CPR certification

  • Familiarity with OSHA 1926 construction standards
  • Experience with safety management systems or reporting software
