Position: Safety Manager [HR- 15084]

Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading developer of mission-critical digital infrastructure to identify an experienced Electrical Safety Representative for a major data center construction project in Santa Teresa, NM
. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project supporting a high-performing team on a fast-paced, cutting-edge construction site.

  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Schedule: 40+ hours/week
What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary on-site EHS representative supporting daily construction activities.
  • Partner with project management, general contractors, subcontractors, and trade partners to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Manage contractor compliance and prequalification through Avetta.
  • Administer and monitor the electronic Permit to Work (PTW) program.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, Gemba walks, safety observations, and compliance audits.
  • Review contractor safety documentation, permits, and work practices to ensure project compliance.
  • Identify hazards, evaluate risks, and collaborate with project teams to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Support incident reporting, investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking.
  • Oversee high-risk construction activities, including excavation, electrical work, crane operations, material handling, and fall protection.
  • Provide guidance on OSHA 29 CFR 1926, NFPA 70E, and industry safety best practices.
  • Deliver safety orientations and training while participating in project meetings and contractor safety initiatives.
  • Coordinate with specialized EHS resources as project needs evolve.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical, data center, commercial, industrial, or other large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong background working with owners, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, NFPA 70E, and construction safety regulations.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, contractor oversight, and incident investigations.
  • OSHA 500, CHST, CSP, or other relevant safety certifications preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday in a fast-paced construction environment.
