OR Tech - Temp to Perm

Operating Room Technician needed for a 13-week temp-to-perm assignment near Gallup, NM. The role supports surgical teams by preparing ORs, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring smooth procedural flow.

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after procedures.

• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control procedures.

• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.

• Perform surgical counts and maintain accurate operating room protocols.

• Assist with room turnover and ensure the OR remains clean and properly stocked.

• Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other healthcare professionals.

• Maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced operating room environment.

• Participate in on-call responsibilities as required.

• Current CPR certification required.

• Completion of an Operating Room Technician course desired.

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification desirable but not required.

• Ability to respond to on-call duty within 15 minutes of hospital call.

• Strong interpersonal skills and capacity to manage high-stress operating room environment.

• Previous OR Tech, Surgical Tech, or operating room experience preferred.

• 13-week contract with potential for permanent employment.

• Weekly compensation up to $1,800 based on experience.
