L&D RN; Registered Nurse in Fort Defiance, AZ

Capstone Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled L&D RN (Registered Nurse) to provide high-quality obstetric and perinatal care in Fort Defiance, AZ. As a key member of the Healthcare & Medical Services team, you will care for mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period while working within a facility that serves a diverse patient population.

In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments of laboring patients, monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring, and collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, pediatric providers, and support staff. You will assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, support pain management plans including epidural and non-pharmacologic strategies, and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies such as fetal distress, preeclampsia, and postpartum hemorrhage.

The L&D RN will be responsible for administering medications, managing IV infusions, accurately documenting assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record, and following evidence-based protocols and facility policies to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes. You will provide education and emotional support to patients and families, helping them understand the labor process, available pain relief options, postpartum recovery expectations, and essential newborn care.
