Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery
Registered Nurse providing labor and delivery care in a community hospital setting in east Gallup, NM. This role focuses on comprehensive maternal and neonatal support, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor and delivery
- Monitor maternal and fetal health, administer medications, and assist with pain management
- Support physicians and midwives during deliveries and surgical procedures
- Educate patients and families on birthing process and postnatal care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation
- Respond to emergency situations with professionalism and clinical expertise
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Valid RN license in the state of New Mexico
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
