Prefer 2 yrs of CVICU experience with focus on direct open-heart recovery and Impella, Balloon pumps experience. Weekends, holidays, and float per department guidelines.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality CVICU patient care as RN, adhering to ICU protocols.
Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, adjust vasoactive infusions per protocol.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with procedures and readiness for rapid response or code events.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans.
Lead or participate in daily rounds, communicating urgent issues to physicians.
Utilize evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and reduce complications.
Manage workload efficiently to meet performance targets and maintain visibility of activities.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and data-driven pipeline planning.
Mentor junior staff and students, promoting continuous learning and skill development.
Experience/QualificationsActive RN license with current CVICU or critical care certification
Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive infusions protocol led dosing
Infection control and safety procedure adherence
Ability to respond to rapid response and code events with preparedness
Experience in daily rounds and interdisciplinary care planning
Strong documentation skills for patient status and interventions
Evidence-based practice delivery to improve outcomes and reduce complications
Quality improvement and data-driven planning participation
Mentoring and supporting junior staff and students
Self-directed learner with growth mindset aligned to merit-based progression
