Position Overview

Provide veterinary care at Cedar Animal Medical Center with predictable, part‑time hours. Work alongside a locally led care team and national support.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
• Client communication and education
• Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
• Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
• Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge
• Attend daily rounds when possible to uphold standards
• Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications (Required)

• Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
• Current State Veterinary License
• DEA registration obtained and maintained
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Excellent surgical and dental skills
• Team‑oriented work environment
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care
• Effective written and verbal communication with staff
• Client communication, rapport building, explanation of care
• Confidence and reassurance with distressed or painful pets
• Physical ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; lift up to 50 pounds

• Comprehensive clinical knowledge: cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological examinations and treatment

Pay Range
$175,000 — $200,000 USD
