Part Time Associate Veterinarian - Cedar Animal Medical Center
Position Overview
Provide veterinary care at Cedar Animal Medical Center with predictable, part‑time hours. Work alongside a locally led care team and national support.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
- Client communication and education
- Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
- Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
- Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge
- Attend daily rounds when possible to uphold standards
- Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications (Required)
- Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
- Current State Veterinary License
- DEA registration obtained and maintained
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent surgical and dental skills
- Team‑oriented work environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care
- Effective written and verbal communication with staff
- Client communication, rapport building, explanation of care
- Confidence and reassurance with distressed or painful pets
- Physical ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Comprehensive clinical knowledge: cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological examinations and treatment
- Problem‑solving for hospital management challenges
- Communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff
- Professionalism in constructive feedback
- Business acumen to understand practice finances
- Ethical decision making
- Commitment to continuing education and facilitation of others’ learning

Pay Range
$175,000 — $200,000 USD
