Sales Associate

Five Below is seeking part‑time Sales Associates who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service and driving strong sales. The role requires excellent people skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to keep merchandise organized on the sales floor.

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns, using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions whenever possible.
• Communicate needs to management regarding restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives.

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, hand‑held, and mobile devices.
• Good communicator who can engage with customers.
• Capable of handling customer interactions and concerns courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on‑the‑job training.

• Frequently operate a cash register.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lb and place/remove items up to 5–10 ft high.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Position oneself to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including within the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate and exchange information with customers in person and via telephone, and with managers and coworkers.
• Assist customers throughout the sales floor and move between the sales floor and stock room to retrieve and put away merchandise.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekend, overnight shifts and, when required, travel.
• Identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80 % of the time.
