Our client is searching for a skilled and dedicated Geologist specializing in mineral exploration to join their team in George. You will play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating new mineral resource opportunities, conducting field investigations, and analyzing geological data. This position requires a proactive approach to exploration, a keen eye for geological detail, and the ability to work effectively both in the field and in the office environment.

- Plan and execute geological mapping and sampling programs in designated exploration areas.
- Analyze and interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify potential mineral targets.
- Conduct detailed field surveys, including prospecting, drilling supervision, and core logging.
- Prepare comprehensive geological reports, including resource estimates and exploration recommendations.
- Collaborate with the exploration team to develop and refine exploration strategies.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental best practices during all field operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral exploration, with a focus on relevant commodities.
- Proficiency in geological software packages for data analysis and mapping (e.g., ArcGIS, Leapfrog).
- Experience with various exploration techniques, including geochemistry and geophysics.
- Strong field exploration skills and the ability to work independently in remote locations.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
