Principal Service Solutions is hiring Entry Level and Experienced Level Field Service Engineers in the semiconductor industry who will be trained on modification, installation, servicing, and maintaining semiconductor equipment in a manufacturing fab/cleanroom facility. On‑the‑job training will be provided!

Travel out of State/International travel may be required for short‑term projects or training. Occasional overnight travel to the factory, training facilities, and customer locations may also be required. Must be willing to travel on occasion to apply.

• Performs on‑site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
• Troubleshoots equipment problems
• Maintains records and reports as required
• Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
• Orders and installs parts
• Responds to emergency service calls as required
• Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
• Performs upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
• Remains current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
• Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.
• Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both Principal Service Solutions and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s)

• 0+ years of experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
• Electrical/Electronics and mechanical aptitude with the ability to use appropriate tools
• Knowledge of electrical diagnostic instruments and shop/hand tools
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints and diagnose/troubleshoot electromechanical devices
• Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures
• Travel out of State for training and/or occasional overnight travel to the factory, training facilities, and customer locations may be required. Must be willing to travel on occasion to apply.

• Must be flexible with all shifts, days, and nights
• Excellent customer interface skills are required

• Minimum Education:
  
  High School Diploma required
• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Engineering, or Technology preferred

• Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a cleanroom environment, in awkward positions, and/or in high places
• Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds are required
• May require bending, stooping, crawling, climbing
• May require the use of personal protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
