CDL-A Relief Delivery Driver: Routes

: $23.60 / hour

This position is a relief driver assigned to cover shifts for delivery drivers unavailable due to vacation, illness, or other reasons. Routes vary daily and include delivery to stores and direct-to-customer drops such as convenience and gas stores, small supermarkets, and drugstores, across a variety of weather conditions. The driver will drive the delivery vehicle, unload products, bring items into the store, and manage merchandise on shelves, displays, vending equipment, and coolers.

Responsibilities include building displays, setting promotional signage, generating invoices, and daily settlement of cash and charges. The role requires significant lifting (20-45 lbs per case), pushing/pulling, reaching, squatting, and bending.

• Deliver products and execute all promotions
• Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift
• Merchandise all accounts to local standards
• Follow DOT regulations
• Establish positive working relationships with primary contact at each account
• Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance

• 21 years or older
• Valid U.S. CDL or CDL Permit with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
• Pass the required drug test and physical capabilities test (if applicable)
• Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Note:

In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.

• Operating trucks that require a Valid U.S. CDL license (e.g., basic driving functions such as driving forwards, backwards, and maneuvering in tight spaces)
• Merchandising products (filling shelves, building displays, presenting attractive product on shelves, rotating product, cleaning shelves, eliminating out-of-stock and expired products)
• Operating equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and related tools
