ESN Special Needs Teacher

Job Description

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ESN Teacher to support students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and helping students achieve their academic and social goals.

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Provide direct instruction in small group or one‑on‑one settings
• Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to accommodate different learning abilities
• Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations
• Ensure compliance with school policies and special education regulations

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching certification/license in Special Education
• Prior experience working with children with special needs preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism

• Experience with autism, ADHD, or learning disabilities
• Knowledge of behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
• Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive teaching tools
