Special Education Teacher in Galt, CA

This contract opportunity is located near Galt, CA, serving students in grades 9-12 throughout the upcoming academic year, beginning August 6 and continuing through June
3. Youll provide personalized instruction in a self-contained moderate/severe program, supporting a small class of 9 students during regular school hours (8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday).

Your expertise will ensure every student receives a compassionate and individualized education, working closely with other dedicated professionals and support staff to foster learning and growth.

• Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential with ESN (Moderate/Severe) authorization
• Experience or strong interest in working with high school students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Dedication to individualized instruction and IEP implementation
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively with families
• Commitment to a safe, inclusive classroom environment

• Deliver tailored instructional strategies addressing students unique needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Adapt curriculum to suit varying cognitive and functional levels
• Coordinate with related service providers and support staff
• Foster student independence and life skills through structured, supportive routines
• Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians on progress and needs
• Manage classroom behavior and routines appropriately
