Senior Accountant

The selected Senior Accountant will be supporting the General Contractor on FAR/DCMA governed federal contracts and will work in the office 5 days per week. Prior accounting experience specific to construction and/or government contracts is required for serious consideration. E:

• Collaborating across departments to support project management and operations teams.
• Supporting audits and DCMA inquiries
• Preparing invoices to support audit requests
• Preparing reports showing project cost forecasts, monthly reporting, and variance analyses
• Managing billing and revenue recognition for contract deliverables
• Working to support process improvement to allow for scaling
• Helping to establish accounting policies/procedures to manage cost accounting, project billing, and reporting
• Proactively identify training gaps with personnel, ensuring that they gain access to proper resources and supplemental training to maximize career growth potential.

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience supporting government contracts
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Knowledge of FAR/DCMA accounting requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective deadline management skills including the ability to delegate
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis
